Endgames

What Goes Up can have any victory condition the players agree on; those written here are simply suggestions. It is important to make sure the victory conditions are agreed on with precision; we strongly recommend writing them down on a separate piece of paper.

ONE SMALL STEP - MOON LANDING

  • Whoever lands a derp to the Moon and returns them alive wins the game. An EVA is required.
  • A derp who has done a lunar EVA and returns injured counts.
  • Landing anywhere will do the job: Moon mapping is not required.

FINAL DESTINATION - THE MOON TEMPLE

  • Whoever gets to the Moon Temple wins the game. The better mapped the Moon is, the more likely it is to find the Moon Temple on a landing (roll a D20 against moon mapping).
  • Only one derp needs to get to the Temple. They have to be well rested for the trip and have full stamina.
  • A Moon Cart payload and a full turn's rations are necessary to make the trip.
  • Maybe the real reward for this race was the knowledge that it could be done?
  • Or maybe the boon from the gods is this REALLY heavy (mass 3) monolith-looking thing that must be taken home somehow...

ALL YOUR BASE

  • There are a finite number of orbital locations. The objective is to put a derped or underped Waylight in place at as many as possible of them. Maybe this is a competition between comm-sat businesses, who knows.
  • When they are all full, whoever has the most in place wins.
  • Waylights can be re-tagged (stolen) if they are left unguarded, watch out!

ALL SEEING EYE

  • This is a military space program - the objective is to be the first to make a 100% accurate map of the world.
  • The Spacewar rules will be useful if this is happening during a war rather than before one, but disallowing overt hostility can also be interesting.
  • The derps must bring their high resolution maps back home, too - they are too secret to risk transmitting them!
    • Why make what you can steal? Stealing another team's maps brings your total up to theirs if it was lower, and denies them advancement.
    • Is it better to do one or two mapping steps at the time and take them home, or build a space fortress to do everything in one go?

THE SPACEDERP FARMER

  • The objective is to send a derp in orbit and have them remain in space for a full turn. Simple enough, right?
    • Your starting budget is 10.
    • You may only have one spacederp active at a time.
    • None of your components may mass more than 2.
    • Your maximum safety rating is 15.

HERE TO STAY

  • An orbital space station has to be built.

STOP THE ROCK

  • Moved to Stop The Rock. Co-op or solitaire game against the clockrock.

COLONIZATION

  • Moved to Colonization. You went to space today; can you live there tomorrow?

ROBOTS EVERYWHERE

  • Moved to Underped. It's a robotic free for all! IN SPACE!
